We are ready!

Tamati visits the Race Village early Thursday morning to start the opening day of the Auckland Stopover live on the Breakfast show. He'll be meeting a crew member's family, performers and going behind the scenes in the Emirates Team New Zealand's shore base for CAMPER. Then the Mayor of Auckland will cut the ribbon and officially open the Auckland Stopover Race Village.

Accompanied by Volvo Ocean Race CEO Knut Frostad and Port Director Tom Mayo, the Mayor will meet the six marine creatures and performers that make up King Neptune's Trail, the Auckland Stopover Parade which will be on daily in the Village from Saturday 10 March.

The Global Party gets underway at 9am with twelve hours of entertainment on the PUMA main stage on Te Wero Island. The NZ variety programme includes five bands during the day alternating with race action and highlights on the big screens.

The Volvo Experience, including the Ride simulator, the Grinding Challenge and Air Balls on water will open at 9am. There will be movies running all day in the 3D Cinema and the Dome and there's lots for the little ones, including a bouncy castle and miniature pedal trucks and cars.

Check out the Volvo Pavilion for an incredible array of interactive screens, games and vehicles or pop into the DHL NZ Marine Export Showcase and look at the very best of NZ marine products and services.

And it's all free!
