About Auckland

Imagine a vibrant urban culture where everyone lives within half an hour of secluded beautiful beaches, hiking trails and a dozen enchanted holiday islands. Add a sunny climate, a background rhythm of Polynesian culture and a passion for outstanding food, wine and shopping. You're beginning to get the picture of Auckland - a destination consistently ranked in the top five global lifestyle cities.

About New Zealand

New Zealand's diversity - in landscape, climate, and people - has turned this small South Pacific country into a major tourism destination far exceeding its global imprint.

It's also the youngest country on earth - the last habitable land mass on earth settled by humankind, and a nation that's fresh, enthusiastic and prepared to give it a go - a place to enjoy life as it should be.

From the inside, New Zealand's two main and countless off-shore islands offer vastly contrasting geographical and regional climatic conditions setting the scene for outdoor adventures and the unique Pacific lifestyle.

Sponsorship opportunities

The Volvo Ocean Race has a unique global reach with stopovers in Europe, Asia, North and South America, Oceania, Africa and Europe. Millions of fans from more than 100 countries follow the Race through television, radio, magazines, newspapers, the internet, mobile phones and our online sailing game.
